DJ Powers a “Logistics Company” was founded in Savannah in 1930. It is the largest in Georgia, is still locally owned; currently has 80 + employees. 7 offices in US including, Savannah,Charleston Atlanta,Brunswick Memphis, Houston and Charlotte; overseas in Rotterdam and Shanghai. Probably Brazil is next.

The company is “non-asset based” meaning that all its services are contracted out to others, giving the best price always + truly scalable to adjust to increase/decreases in business. DJP crucially also provides assistance in the financing paperwork for overseas business, letters of credit, etc. which is a significant help to all their clients. They specialize in moving product round the world for manufacturers; contacting for 3PL, warehousing,trucking shipping. Shipping by air or sea out of any port in US, customs clearance in and out.

DJP is licensed by 7 Federal agencies and it is central to the business that all these licenses are maintained in good standing.

Rhett serves as President on the District Export Council and helps small companies set-up within the Georgia Industry and Trade organization. Georgia Southern and College of Charleston both have promising degree courses on International Trade procedures training future employees.
